If you’ve ever listened to Christian television, or watched any of the mainstream YouTube Christian personalities, then I’m sure at some point, you’ve heard someone decreeing and declaring. It appears to be a very popular thing to do, especially when praying. I have heard and read various teachings on it, and they’re all very similar, claiming that we, as believers, can decree and declare things, and then God has to do it. So, if we decree and declare that someone is healed, then God has to heal them. If we decree and declare that we need more money, then God has to give us more money. Sadly, these teachings are yet another example of scriptural ignorance. The main source of this comes from Job.
